Does DukanDesk need internet?
No. Billing, khata, stock and reports work offline. Internet is used only for WhatsApp sharing, Google Play purchase and updates.
Where is my data saved?
On your own phone or computer. Take a backup from Settings → Backup now and keep it on Google Drive or a pen drive. The Windows software also makes an automatic backup every 30 minutes in Documents → DukanDesk Backups.
How do I move data to a new phone or computer?
Old device: Settings → Backup now. New device: Settings → Restore → choose the file.
Which printers work?
Thermal 58 / 80 mm printers on Bluetooth, USB or Wi-Fi / LAN, and any normal A4 printer. Set them in Settings → Printers and press Test print.
How do I file GSTR-1?
GST Centre → choose the month → GSTR-1 JSON → upload the file on the GST portal (Returns → GSTR-1 → Prepare offline → Upload). Read our GSTR-1 guide.
I paid on the website — where is my licence key?
It is shown on screen right after payment. Copy it into DukanDesk → Plans & Upgrade → Licence key → Activate. If you lost it, WhatsApp us with your payment ID.
Can I use one licence on two computers?
A licence key works on one computer (shown as “This computer’s code”). For a new computer, write to us and we will move it.
Is my GST data shared with anyone?
No. Only if you choose to send the GST data pack to your accountant or to our GST filing team.
